This is the most common and easy way to support us.

For every hour you invest in our chapter, your company could donate money to the chapter!

Volunteer Hour Matching

Most companies match almost all volunteering time and submit a donation on your behalf for your time invested in non-profits. For example, Microsoft matches $10 for every hour you volunteer with an organization!

Find your company’s volunteering platform (e.g. Benevity, YourCause) and track every single hour you invest in SHPE Puget Sound. This can be for in-person volunteering, attending community events (like happy hours or trivia!), or any knowledge sharing you offer to the chapter. A good rule of thumb is to set a reminder each quarter to submit your volunteer hours in bulk.

You can find our organization under the name “PUGET SOUND CHAPTER OF THE SOCIETY (OF HISPANIC PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERS)”.

SHPE Membership

The best way for you to reap the most benefits from being involved with SHPE Puget Sound is through a paid SHPE Membership. This is $65 paid annually through the SHPE Connect platform, where you officially self-register as a SHPE Puget Sound Professional (Region 1) member and unlock scholarships, discounted registration for conferences, voting privileges for elections, ability to run and hold office on the SHPE Board, and more!

How to score a FREE SHPE Membership?

The Industry Partnership Council is the cohort of corporate sponsors that make the SHPE National Convention happen. One of the perks for these corporate sponsors is that their employees can become SHPE Members for free. This means that if you work at any of these 84+ companies you automatically are eligible for a free SHPE membership.

Verify if your employer is an IPC Sponsor and reach out to your local employee resource group/affinity group to get your unique promo code to redeem your free SHPE membership today! If you need help locating your internal IPC contact, email us at eboard@shpepsc.org.

At the end of the day, we cannot provide quality programming without proper funding. If you would like to donate to SHPE Puget Sound, you are welcome to do it via PayPal, Zelle or directly through your employer’s volunteering platform, where your donation will be matched if your company has a gift matching program in place. Please verify with your HR or Philanthropy teams about your company’s matching programs.

For PayPal or Zelle, you will find our account under the name “SHPE Puget Sound Chapter” and you can use our email shpepugetsound@shpepsc.org for contact information. Please indicate in the memo if your donation has any restrictions, like scholarships, student outreach, etc.

We will be generating tax receipts on a quarterly basis to all donors.
